All footwear, handbags, and accessories stocked by Socrati stores are selected by owners Sava and Stella Trimmis, who work as a team, bringing over 25 years of experience to the footwear industry.

The duo opened four stores in South Africa, the first in 1998, each one situated in the most exclusive shopping malls in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. The store was voted “"Best Shoe Shop in Johannesburg" in August 2006.
